Perfectly Scripted

I'm a calligrapher. Well... a calligrapher-in-training. I've taken lessons from the well-known calligrapher, Harriet Rose and I've done a few of my friend's wedding invitations. I even scribed a tattoo for an old co-worker! I'm still not at professional level that I'd like to be, but I enjoy it as a pastime. So if you're searching for a calligrapher... look no further. I'd be happy to send samples and pricing is available upon request!

Dreaming of Pillows

Thanks to some of my favorite blogs (Design Sponge and Decor8) I've been introduced to the wonderful designer, Thomas Paul. I am totally in love with all his prints. I adore the colors and the clean, fresh look of bold designs. Pillows are the jewelry of a room... they can really tie everything together.

At $44 each these cotton pillows are a steal compared to their silk and linen counterparts.

Title Inspiration

Meet the REAL Navy. This little guy was the inspiration for my blog title. He is our 3 year old french bulldog. I'm sure he'll be making re-occurring appearances throughout my blog. Who can resist that pouty little face?!

Let's bring these back...

Brrr... it's only the beginning of January and already I'm sick of the winter. It's freezing up here in upstate New York and I could really use a hot water bottle right now. Yes, they conjure up images of grandmas in fuzzy bathrobes, but how nice does a warm, toasty bed sound? They even come with fun cozies that hide the red rubber ugliness.
