Cake Vintage

I was perusing my favorite store, The Wishbasket (located in Newburyport), when I stumbled across these awesome place mats by Cake Vintage. They're pads of paper place mats- what a novel idea! I wish I had thought of that!

These place mats could spruce up any meal and would be perfect for picnics. Best of all? Easy cleanup!

Busy Bee

Hello, hello... I'm still here! I apologize that I've been neglecting you all for the past few days. It's just that I've been super busy maintaining my little (but growing!) business.

I've been working on a large wedding stationery suite for an amazing client in LA. I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you, but in the mean time, here is a sneak preview.

I've been working on some new calligraphy styles.

And making calligraphy kits that include my rate card and calligraphy samples.

And finally, you may have noticed my new logo! I'm re-branding and organizing all my business collateral.

Whew! It's a great feeling to get everything in gear. Tell all of your friends: I'm ready and open for business!

If you or anyone you know are interested in my wedding calligraphy or design services, please email me at navybeaninfo@gmail.com. Thanks!

Zed & Bee

I absolutely love the gorgeous stationery styling of Zed & Bee. One thing I've learned while trying to photograph my own stationery is that it takes a lot of work to make paper look interesting. These vignettes are unbelievable detailed and are styled to perfection to make the stationery pop. I definitely appreciate the amount of time and work it took to make each of these shots come alive.

Frenchie + Letterpress = LOVE

I found these adorable letterpress cards on Etsy today by We Heart Paper. Could there be anything better than a letterpress Frenchie notecard?! I think not.

Not only does Janie make the most adorable letterpress stationery, but she also has a great blog!

Serena & Lily Flokati Rug

Just ordered Serena & Lily's Flokati rug for our bedroom. I've been looking for a plush rug to put by our bed because while the hardwood floors in our apartment are great, they're a little cold. And with the winter months fast approaching I want to make our place as cozy as possible. As I've been searching for the perfect rug, I've either come across 60's shag or sheep skin with nothing in between. However, The Flokati rug seems like the perfect combination of plush but not too shaggy and warm but not too furry. I'll let you know how it turns out!
