Asparagus Appetizer

One of my favorite go-to-appetizers are asparagus wrapped in phyllo. They're so simple to make and the result is a delicious, elegant hors d'oeuvre. You can find the recipe here.

Start with fresh asparagus with the tough ends snapped off.

Cut phyllo dough in half, roughly the same length as the asparagus. Take a single sheet of phyllo and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. (Remember to cover remaining phyllo with a damp paper towel so it doesn't dry out.)

Roll up asparagus in the dough.

Lay on a baking sheet, brush on a final sweep of melted butter and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for 15-18 minutes at 375 degrees.

Bake until golden brown.

Sit back and enjoy the crispy, buttery, cheesy, asparagus-y goodness!
